Leighton House
Winner of MBA Tasmania Awards for Excellence 2024 Residential Heritage Listed or Period Building, Leighton House, originally built around 1800, underwent extensive modifications over time. The project involved removing non-original additions, restoring the original homestead, and adding a contemporary extension. The original roof form was reinstated and heritage features such as brickwork, windows, doors and timber elements were meticulously repaired. Decorative elements were restored or replaced with contemporary equivalents that blend seamlessly. The rear verandah, with sandstone pavers and custom steel glazing, elegantly connects the old and new sections.
This project showcases our teams expertise in heritage restoration and contemporary construction techniques.
